I started off by researching general magazine spread designs.

I researched spreads which were based on photography/Art.

I researched magazine covers based on photography and art however I also looked at focal points on the covers.

My second task was to choose a double page spread and try to produce a copy of the spread as similar to the design as possiable.

This was a quick exercise to show in the text the meaning of each haiku.

With being given this sheet i was told to draw out my full name and date of birth, the font matching the one above, and the same with the size of the letters. You can see from the image above that i had calculated the size and spacing of each letter.

At first i created a rough outline of the text Making sure the spacing and sizes are all correct.

Finally using a fine liner i traced over my previous drawing to create my final design.
